This concept works because the personal signal is baked into the concept itself, so even a simple execution reads as thought-through. It also helps that it works partly because it was not predicted; the reveal does a lot of the emotional lifting. This is a high-effort concept by design — the invested time is visible, and that visibility is where the value comes from.

Potential downside — and who should skip it
