This concept works because its whole value comes from attention rather than price — it proves you have been watching their life closely. It also helps that it converts time and attention into romance, which is the currency long relationships actually run on. It is also one of the lower-effort concepts: the thinking is the hard part, and the execution fits inside an evening.
Make it more personal
- Add a second song from last month
- Record twenty seconds of you explaining why
- Underline the lyric that was playing when you looked at them
How to pull it off
- 1.Pin down the exact song using old playlists and message history, not your memory of it.
- 2.Burn it to a small audio card, or print a code that opens the track directly.
- 3.Write the date and the street you were on in two lines on the back.
- 4.Hand it over without explaining; let them work out why that song.
