This concept works because the romantic weight comes from the gesture being specific to the two of you, not from any price tag. It also helps that it works because it is unmistakably about them: the same gesture given to anyone else would not make sense. It is also one of the lower-effort concepts: the thinking is the hard part, and the execution fits inside an evening.
